  7. What types of results can I expect and how soon will I see them?

There are many factors that determine the results each individual may obtain. Results may vary due to metabolism, muscle mass and body composition. Results are definitely altered based on the commitment and motivation of each client. We strive to educate our clients on the complete healthy lifestyle approach and the client must continue every day to strive to incorporate those habits into their daily lives to see results. Typically a client can have results in as little as 28 days if they are truly committed to their program.

Sports Specific clients will also only see results based on their commitment level. If the commitment is there they may also see results in as little as 28 days.

  8. Why should I strength train if I want to lose weight?

Weight training will increase muscle mass. Increased muscle mass can help your body burn three times the amount of fat during all types of training exercises.

  9. Do I have to starve myself or be on special diet?

NO! No one should ever starve him or herself or go on a diet. It is always calories in and calories out. The most important aspect of training is learning to listen to your body with it tells you what you need. Choosing healthy foods, controlling portions and eating more slowly will help you better gauge your hunger and allow you to become more conscious of your body. Our goal is to help you establish a healthy lifestyle and still give you the performance edge you need.

  10. Does coaching hurt? I don’t like pain and don’t want to hear “No Pain, No Gain”.

Yes, there will be some “pain” that will be associated with the workout programs. This soreness (pain) is a result of working muscles in a way that they are not use to working. However, this soreness that you will endure as a result of a good workout we should not call “pain” but call it muscle “discomfort”. The discomfort that you will feel in your muscles is very different from the pain you would feel from a sprained knee or ankle. Muscles can get tender from a workout. This tenderness can last anywhere from 2-5 days depending on your fitness level. One thing you can know for sure is that the soreness will become a thing of the past and you will begin to see results.

  11. Why should the focus be on losing fat not losing weight?

Scales and BMI (Body Mass Index) charts can be very misleading. They tell you where your weight should be but a weight is not always the best measurement. Body fat is the best measurement. When a person is working out you may not lose weight at certain points but you will lose fat. The reason for this is muscle weights more than fat and takes up less space than fat. So you may gain muscle but lose fat and never lose a pound. Getting to your healthy body composition is the most important aspect.

  12. Can I train for a sport and still try and lose weight or maintain my weight?

Yes! When training for a sport and wanting to lose weight it is best to start with a small body fat reduction plan for 4-6 weeks prior to really starting the training program. Then in the training program it would all be regulated by nutrition to continue to lose body fat while giving your body enough fuel to train. Maintaining body weight during training is completely done by nutrition. You must fuel your body to sustain your current body weight and your training.

  13. How much equipment do I need? Do I have to join a gym?

This is completely up to you! My personal experience is that having access to a gym is the best in the long run and provides you a better opportunity to reach your goals. Though you can achieve your goals and excellent results without a gym. If you are going to do your program in your home you will have to discuss with the coach what equipment you have and want to use so they can provide you with a program that incorporates that equipment. So you will have to decide if you want to invest in a gym membership, equipment for your home or both.

  14. How can I contact you to set up a program?
